Who we are
Cyber Somaliland is a software, mobile app and cybersecurity company headquartered in Hargeisa, Somaliland. We are responsible for the information described in this policy. Our contact details are at the end of this page.
Information you give us
The project form on our home page does not send anything to our servers. It opens your own email app or WhatsApp with a message filled in, and nothing reaches us unless you choose to send it.
When you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we receive what you choose to share. This usually includes:
- your name and organisation
- your email address and phone number
- details of your project or problem
Please do not send passwords, access keys or other sensitive information in a first message. We will agree a secure way to share these if a project needs them.
Security check
Our free security check runs in your browser. We don't save your answers or receive them. If you choose to send us your result, we receive what you send, which is usually your score and your main gaps.
Information collected automatically
We have not added analytics or advertising trackers to this website, and it does not set cookies of its own.
Like most websites, it relies on outside services that can receive basic technical information from your browser, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested:
- Vercel hosts this website and may keep server logs.
- Google Fonts supplies the fonts used on these pages.
If you follow our link to Google Maps, or contact us on WhatsApp, the privacy policy of that service also applies. WhatsApp will also show us your phone number and profile name when you message us.
How we use information
We use the information you send us to:
- reply to your enquiry and arrange a conversation
- prepare and carry out work you ask us to do
- keep business records we need for accounting or legal reasons
- protect our systems and investigate misuse
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only when we need to. That can include service providers that support our business, such as our email, messaging and hosting providers, and authorities where the law requires it. Some of these providers operate outside Somaliland, so your information may be processed in other countries.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any work that follows. We keep project and business records for as long as they are needed for that work or to meet legal obligations, then delete them.
How we protect it
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the information we hold. No system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it or delete it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Children
This website is for organisations and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Client projects
This policy covers this website and enquiries to us. When we handle information as part of a client project, the agreement for that project also applies.

We may update this policy as our website or services change. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
